This musical theater project combines classical music ranging from the Baroque era to contemporary works with the lively characters of 16th-century Italian comedy. The program includes innovative arrangements for accordion and violoncello from well known works by classixal composers and draws on the rich tradition of the Commedia dell’Arte and incorporates its defining characteristics: improvisation, humor, and storytelling. Over the centuries, this theatrical form has inspired countless composers, and each piece in the performance captures its playful, emotional, and often whimsical essence.
